Projects

Our projects promote four dimensions of teaching today: pedagogy, innovation, community and technology.

Poetic Pedagogies

We build a teaching methodology based on the analysis of poetic texts. In 2017, this project won the National Prize of the Youth of Peru. It is the methodology of our workshops.

Festival of the Humanities

In 2013, we decided that we had to take the humanities to the streets and we did so. We engage the community to promote the humanistic knowledge in public spaces through the arts.

LAVAlab

It is the laboratory of educational innovation where inter- and transdisciplinarity are the tools for an avant-garde educational design.

Humanart

It is a web platform and application that seeks to generate communities through the desire to share knowledge. It is our business project.

Testimonials

“By using LAVA’s pedagogical techniques, we recognize the value of every being in the world and we get to know that we can give them different meaning and uses according to our personal and collective imagination.”
“FIt was a workshop that broke new ground: each of the participants could weave their own story and reconstruct their lives in society. And when there is collective support everything is better. I really enjoyed the team work”

Catherine Rojas Psychologist. Lima

“• I was surprised by the workshop because the facilitators used different techniques to conduct the training. This was great because it helped all the attendees to gain confidence. Each participant was able to give their point of view. We freed the poet we have inside us and expressed our opinions to the public without fear.”

“Without a doubt, an enriching and rewarding experience with an excellent pace and a very didactic and interactive methodology”

Jorge Nureña Historian. Trujillo.

“I have learned not to be afraid of playing, to intervene with shouts, to dis(entangle) our body and the desire to weave stories, and to break with the too vertical idea we have of being in a classroom. And, above all, I am very grateful for having participated in this beautiful project”

Claria SalinasLaw student. Lima

“In the workshop, we discovered that rhythm is everywhere, that it depends on an ear full of curiosity, and that it is essential in poetry. Finally, we discovered that we all have a poet who wants to come out, and that poetry can become body and pedagogy."

Jesús WartonLiterary critic. Lima
